Shipshop (“Ship Shop,” “we,” “us”) builds software and provides forward-deployed engineering services, and runs shipshop.dev (the “Site”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email hello@shipshop.dev.
Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Your name, email, phone number, and anything else you share when you use the AI agent in our homepage hero, submit the contact form, or otherwise reach out to us. We collect this so we can respond to you and follow up about working together — that's the whole point of the interaction, and it's why we ask for it.
Information collected automatically
- Anonymous, aggregate analytics from Umami — page views and general usage trends. Umami does not use cookies and does not collect or store any personally identifiable information; visitors cannot be individually identified from this data.
- Standard request data (browser, device, approximate location) logged by our hosting provider for security and reliability purposes.
- Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile). The AI agent in our homepage hero and the contact form are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which verifies that a real person — not an automated script — is using them. Turnstile runs invisibly in the background and processes signals such as your IP address, browser user-agent, TLS fingerprint, and the site key and page origin, solely to distinguish humans from bots. It is not used to build an advertising profile or to track you across other websites. See Cloudflare'sTurnstile Privacy Policy for details on how Cloudflare handles that data.
Cookies
We're privacy-centric by design and intentionally avoid the usual tracking stack — no advertising or tracking cookies, no ad-tech pixels, no cross-site trackers, and no third-party marketing tags of any kind. Umami is the only analytics we run, and we've chosen it specifically because it's cookie-free, doesn't fingerprint devices, and reports only anonymous, aggregate usage trends — visitors cannot be individually identified from this data. The one exception is Cloudflare Turnstile, our bot protection: it may set a strictly necessary cookie on the pages where it runs, used only to verify that a visitor is human and never for advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking. Because there's nothing that tracks or identifies you for marketing purposes, we don't show a cookie consent banner — there's nothing to opt in or out of.
How We Use Information
